REFLECTION ARTITACT

1) I think that in all moment I am ready to use EI because the children every day have some problem how fight between them and so I always try of that they think about their problems and help them to some pacific solution.
2) Yes agree with the results, so in the future I am going to use the results on multiple inteligence with the experience of the new methods and correcting the mistakes of the old teachers.

To day was my last day of practise so my guide teacher congratuled me because I did a good practise and this did me happy and my directress told me that she will wait in the future and I can back when I can do it. The some children gave me the thanks for my help too and this is beautiful and greatest for my heart.

In this day I had to do a new exercises guide to the children of 8º year so this exercises was about question words because my guide teacher needed practise more with the students because they don´t understand these exercises. In this exercises I did some examples and a demostration as is the form the question words and what are. For example:

About afternoon I did other class with the children needed my help so were the same children and it was ok for me and for them.

Today the selection Chilean played in Africa, so the children could come in the school at 10.00 hr. so every teacher and I came there at 08.00 hour because some children couldn’t be only in their house because their parents had to work early. I was very funny and late every student could have broken fast and some children were with red clothes and their paint faces well, some teacher too. But when all the teachers, the directress and I were waiting that children come in the school I heard bad dialogues between the teachers and directress about children for example that why they came at the school, some were stupid and the most surprising was when the teacher of the language said that only was a student of 5ª year and she had to do a test so and how this boy was present, she will do the test and the directress said this was well because he is stupid…but she didn’t tell this so she said a grossness, for me was awful this situation to the poor child.

Today when I came to school, the teachers were a special meeting so I couldn´t enter a this meeting I don´t know for why. The teacher told me that all were in this meeting and how I had a one hour the practise I had to go for my house.

Today the children of 7° year were very disquiet so the teacher was annoying for this and began he talks with strong voice that I was very surprising but he told them that they are stupids and lazies that theirs parents don´t worry for them and for they posibility the school will close for the down level that they have with their notes so the teachers will lose their works. Then the teacher said that last year two teachers lost their works because some students of 7°year did a disorder in the classroom and recordered with a cell phone so they wanted to show that between classmate had bulling where their teacher didn´t do nothing but this was a great lie and this video uped in youtube this case was showed in the news and the theachers that were with them to stop the disorder lost their works and the responsable students had to leave this school. I thought that these students were more polite and quiet so I didn´t know this great problem of last year. Finally, the children only were quiet when the teacher talked with them then they continued with disorder and the teacher was worried and sad.
In the last class some children I told me that if I help with some class late of class because their notes are very bad and didn´t understand so I talked with directress to know the posibilities that I have to help to them, well she didn´t have problems so I began with English class from 15.20 to 16.00 hr. to the children need my help so were three children and they were happy because they were learning and I was happy too for I can help to them.

In first hour I was with 8° year so the teacher worked with my exercises in all class so he congratuled for my work and I can help to students and explain as do it. In the exercises first I did a box with examples then exercises such as:

My guide teacher told me about as are the children, he said they are lazys so I am agree with him, they don´t have the habit of study and clearly their parents don´t worry for them so only three o four students have good notes. Now I help to them with exercises for that teacher can continue with class so in the next class I will do new exercises about sentences using do, does, affirmative and negative form to 8° year.

In this second day I felt very good with the students and the personnels of school. I was with three courses, first I was with 8° yeard, I could talk with students and helped with exercises that they didn´t understand so they are about 19 children and there are only three students that understand English but not all working in class or pay attention to teacher when explains. Then I was with 5° year, they about 32 students, they were very polite with me, the children all class saw and some children told with me about exercises and who I am and what is my name. In the last hour I was with 7° year, they about 23 students, they are very disorderly and have a bad behavior I could see that two children fought between them and they didn´t respect me that I was beside of them so they told grossness and they didn´t worried for me so I felt very bad for this situation.

Today is my first day in the school because I had some problems to begin in this school so the directress knew all the attempts that I did to be in this school and I lost days of practice she gave me the posibility of do more hours in this school so I will be with 5°, 7° and 8° year. So today I was with 8° year but when the guide teacher and I entered class I didn´t have la oportunity of greet to students only the teacher and told them that I will be with them to see the class, this was inconvenient a few for me but the teacher was polite with me, he explain as are the students, he told me as is the level of English and I corrected some quizes. The students only saw me.

Workshop N°4

Gather on groups of four and comment about the following statements andquestions based on the time you have been at your school:

1.- How was your reception at the school you were assigned at? How did youfeel? How did the students react when they saw you?

My reception was regular because first my guide teacher not gave me a moment to I present to students so couldn´t greet to them as last year in other practise my guide teacher was very polite and I could told them who I am and why I was there. So I felt a few sad for this and the children were with doubts why I was there and who I was, they are children of 8° year and someone children were not important my presence and other commented between their classmates.

2.- Talk about the school`s surrounding. Do you think it affects the learningprocess?
I think about the school´s surrounding is good, they have the necessary to learning process because this a new school so it has a library, a computer classroom, a big yard, a diningroom, a good classroom, etc.

3.- Describe your guide teacher, use the following points:

a) Willingness to help you

I can see that never my guide teacher gave me the possibility of greet to students when we came class but in other situations he always help me so he gave me oportunity of be with children, help and teach to them and when I had doubt he helpt me.

b) Relation with the rest of the teachers and the personnel at school.

My relation with other teachers was good except of a woman teacher that never told or saw me. The rest personnel always was good too.

C) Personal charisma to teach

The guide teacher have patient with the students, sometime he gave them oportunity to repeat the bad quizes but when they not lisen to him, talk and smile very noisy, the teacher is very angry, hits on the table and he says to them ugly words such as that they are stupid and never they will be a great professional and I think this isn´t correct form to teach to them as have to behave in class.

d) Proficiency in the L2

He talks very well English, he teaches fonetics to his students because he told me that he lived in United States when finished his studies in the university.

e) Relation with the students

Only someone students his relation isn´t good because when he is angry with them he says that they are stupid and they angry too with him.

f) Teaching methods

His methods are traditionals and bored for them, always the exercises are the same and the students not do it only talk with classmates or play with something.

4.- How is the relation among students in the class?, comment about behavior, motivation and levels of English.

The levels of English is bad only two or three students understand this language but other children not working in class and their behavior is bad always they are talking and smile for something and not pay attention to teacher when he explains and the results of the quizes are very bad.

Do you think this experience is going to be useful? Support your answer.

Well, I think this experience is going to be useful because I can know the behavior the students, learn as a teacher have to be with them, know what do when there is a problem. I think is necessary this practise to see the reality of a school because we learn a lots and of the teacher we can learn too of his methods if his methods are good, we can copy these methods; if his methods are bad, we can correct the mistakes to a good teaching and in the future be a excellent teacher.

Well, in this practise was been difficult began with the classes in Diego Barros Arana school. When I went to this school to solicit my pre-practise in this school so I told with its directress, Ingrid Jimenes, she thought that was a good idea so she asked the teacher of English and he was agree with us, we told about my shedule and all was ok, but I had to go to Corporation of Villa Alemana to begin in this school with its aprobation since here all bad because in this Corporation I had to give a letter of my university to my protection of locomotion but this document no exist...after of much attempts and a month later so I could begin with my practise. I thought that it was lose but for me it was very important to get this practise in a municipal school to see the difference between a municipal school and private school so the children are differents, they have other problems in their families such as drugs, violence, separation of their parents, etc. Well, the actions of these children are not same so I need to know as they are and I learn as teach to them.
